The aim of
the post is to develop a JOINT PROGRAMME between the 7 sport sections that
attract new participants and increase club membership, keep hold of existing
members and also looks at improved performance pathways for juniors and adults
You should
have
An NVQ level 1/2
qualification in coaching, dance or other physical activity
Relevant
training in working with young people, child protection, health and safety
and first aid
Experience of
planning and organising a variety of sport and physical activity sessions
across a range of age groups.
Experience of
delivering club programmes in partnership with other
organisations-i.e.schools/colleges/local authority links
You
will need to be able to demonstrate

DUTIES:
To
develop stronger links with local primary and secondary schools, to make
sure the club offers appropriateprogrammes and to develop formal school club agreements in at
least 3 sports
To
work with Trafford College to ensure the club offers appropriate
opportunities for 16-19 year olds ( as participants and
volunteers/coaches)
To
build on the emerging relationships with MMU and Manchester University
to ensure the club offers appropriate opportunities for 18-25 years
To
mainstream the good practice in the Lacrosse section ( Brooklands Lacrosse Club is Trafford
Club of the Year 2008) across all the sections to improve efficiency
and effectiveness of club as a whole- ie all sections to have club mark
status andto explore further
efficiencies
To
develop a joint programme of sports activity focusing on holiday periods
initially aimed at under 16 years- large scale open programme
To
develop areferral processbetween sections to ensure maximum
retention in club members
Develop
joint initiatives with LA Fitnessin off peak periods to look at joint offers to encourage
different users to the cluband
to aid opportunities forperformers wishing to progress in their sport through use of gym
and pool
To
look at introducing a gifted and talented programme with Trafford School
Sports Partnership to capitalise on work in schools
To
develop the voluntary workforce within the club by a. Analysis of
duplication of roles across sections b.Skills audit and needs analysis
c. joint programme to meetidentified need
