Start of a new season and some exciting new faces joining the old guard at BPHC

Brooklands-Poynton ladies HC would like to extend a warm welcome to their new members of coaching staff this season.

Ian Hunter will be leading the ladies 1stXI this season. Formerly coaching at Lancaster HC, Ian has been involved with England Hockey's centralised coaching system for a few seasons and has a wealth of experience for the team to draw on. Ian has a strong ethos for running a fit and organised team and the 1stXI squad will be looking to build on the success of the league win last season.

Rob Turner joins the coaching staff taking charge of our goal-keepers. Rob is currently the mens 1stXI keeper at Bowdon HC (but we won't hold that against him) and is a very experienced GK coach having been involved in England Hockey's GK coaching academies in the region for a number of years. Rob will be running sessions every other week for the junior keepers, club keepers and performance squad keepers ensuring development and progression throughout the club.

Finally Beth Alvey has joined the coaching staff helping to coach the ladies 3rd and 4thXI. Beth is a level 2 qualified coach and has done a lot of working with junior squads within the county and regional set ups. With the large increase in numbers in the club, the addition of Beth to will keep the intensity and quality of the coaching sessions high ensuring continued development for all players.

Huge welcome to all the new coaches and here's to an exciting season to come!
