Brian Boocock has passed away afer suffering with Altzeimers. Brian played for Brooklands for many years and was considered by many as a 'natural Chairman' when he took up that role. A first team player and benefactor of the Club he will be remembered as a Brooklands patriot and friend to many.
The Astro turf pitch was laid under his Chairmanship. Many will remember his rousing speech outside the club as all players assembled the day we played Bowdon as a block 1s to 5s (on grass all starting at 3.0!) extolling the virtues of our Club and encouraging us to 'whitewash' our local rival. We almost did winning four and drawing one.
The Club sends it condolances to his wife and family, he will be remembered by his friends at Brooklands and no doubt our local rivals.
