End of Season Awards Dinner

The season finally drew to a close on Saturday night with a fantastic BAFTA style awards dinner dance at the Victoria & Albert hotel in Manchester.
A bumper attendance of 170+ filled the room to breaking point to celebrate another excellent season across the whole club.

As usual Brooklands own Ant & Dec, Darius Virabi and Steve Andrews compered the evening with their usual excellent slickness. If only ITV would sign them up, and free up two slots in the 2nd eleven!

After an excellent meal, washed down with many a beer, cocktails and glasses of wine, the free for all disco dancing 'competition' started, your intrepid reporter was unable to ascertain the actual winners, but it was fiercly fought, foot tapping, rump shaking extravaganza.

The main event allegedly finished at 1'ish but rumours of a new posse taking Manchester by storm have sneaked out on to the airwaves - photos, incriminating or otherwise are awaited (blackmail should be considered a fine source of fundraising...)

Many thanks are due to Annabelle Watton for the superb organisation of the whole evening.

On any BAFTA night there have to be winners and losers, but it was sad to see
