We have unfortunately just learnt over the past few weeks that we have lost our Men’s main sponsor for the 2014/15 season

This is a massive financial blow to the club and we are now urgently looking to find new sponsors who would be interested in partnering with the leading elite hockey club in the north of England, to ensure our continued involvement in the English Premier League.

Brooklands Manchester University Hockey Club (BMUHC) and previously Brooklands HC have enjoyed nearly 20 years of National League Hockey under the England Hockey (EH) banner.
After losing a hard fought relegation battle in April 2013, possibly the most focused hockey team in the North of England regained top flight NOW Pensions Premier League status at the first time of asking, winning the North Conference League and a fiercely competed promotion play-off tournament. This September, the 1st team squad will be embarking on their 4th campaign of Premier League Hockey. Continuing with the stellar season, the team narrowly lost a shoot-out 5-4 in the final of the NOW Pensions England Hockey Cup, the premier domestic cup competition.

With this increased success has seen exposure in national media most notably in the written press, The Telegraph and on Sky Sports television channel whos recent coverage of the Hockey World cup attracted over 200,000 viewers

The hockey club is part of Brooklands Sports Club with over 1000 active members across multiple sports. As a result this creates an extremely busy venue facilitating not just the main sports of hockey, cricket & lacrosse, but also very well supported tennis, bowls and squash sections. Brooklands Sports Club also houses an LA Fitness® branch with circa 3000 members.

Visiting hockey, lacrosse and cricket teams as well as regular hire of the facility for football and sports camps in the school holidays further see’s over 1500 visitors to the site each week. Banner positions are in prominent positions across the site to all who arrive at the club and to spectators.

The Clubs Website has all the club members registered plus supporters, family members and past-players who wish to receive up to date regular communications and newsletters from officials, team and club members. All messages are able to carry sponsors logos, and there is also opportunity to send communications to the entire club membership promoting your goods or services.
The website uses the Pitchero system, which provides Clubs, Leagues and County organisations with a platform to create professional sports websites. Each website is connected via sport, location and competition creating a unique network of over 1 million active sports participants increasing significantly the amount of website traffic.

A small proportion of the overall 1st team financial support will be directed towards the junior development programme, whereby 1st team players can access coaching development resources and are remunerated for coaching and passing on their knowledge further down the club to junior members. All members of our squad are involved in our junior development and the focus is bringing our 100 + junior section towards 150 participants with programmes such as the Club-School link and Quick Sticks during 2014/15.

If anyone would potentially be interested in becoming involved with us at any level can they can contact me directly, and a full information pack on the sponsorship packages available can be provided on request.
