Our first league game

Today saw Brooklands Poynton ladies 4th team enter into our first league game of the season. Despite the score line we played some awesome hockey out there. Unfortunately, we did not win the game and although it is disappointing lets take away the positives.
We are a very new team playing together but gelled well on the day and looked like a team, there was some fantastic passing and the pressure was kept on right through the game...even when we got tired. Katherine Floyd showed some amazing team spirit and played in goal for us and made some great saves...rightly so she has been voted by the rest of the team as man of the match. Issy Ham was voted man of the match by the opposition for never giving up and chasing every ball.

Well done everyone, it was a tough game but everyone pushed themselves hard and most importantly....had fun!
