What!? not more scousers and in Liuverpool again

With a team much changed due to requirements of the teams above , as some people were resting after playing a game on a Saturday (Really!!!). A number of late phone calls meant that some new faces were brought in. Thanks to those that responded to the call for help and you did the club proud in a game we should have won. With coach having to umpire it was left to Capt D to give the team talk. The team started brightly with a number of chances being created. After absorbing a bit of pressure the quietly spoken Matt D’S took a through ball and slotted past the keeper. Bebington relied on the breakaway to create changes. Unfortunately Rusbridge took a blow to his hand and had to be ferried to the hospital by Little Wendy Jones (thanks again). Already diminished in midfield Capt D fell for the Texas Hold’em river card from the umpire and had to sit down a bit. Brooklands Held it together but Bebington equalised. A number of shots went piling towards the goal but were just the wrong side of the metalwork. With the midfield tiring, Harry Cooper got us back in front only for Bebington to cancel out the lead. With 10 mins left Matty D scored again but again the breakaway scored. Onto the lottery of flicks and Bebington scored all 5 with Brooklands missing just one. Unfortunate loss but allows the team to concentrate on the league with another trip to scouseland next week.
MOM was the team for keeping going – but special mention to Andy Rusbridge who will be sorely missed as he recovers from injury
