This was the first home match of the season! The team had to pick themselves up after the previous week’s 7 – 0 loss but it was going to be difficult against a strong and fast team.
However, the team started well and was repelling all of Sale’s attacks with relative ease and was even putting together some promising attacking moves of its own.
Could the team manage to keep it going? The answer was unfortunately not. Sale scored a soft first goal and the first half finished 0 – 1.
Could Brooklands manage to turn things around in the second half? Again the answer was unfortunately not. In spite of a dogged performance, Sale scored twice.
Although, it was a frustrating afternoon, the team gave a much improved performance and the final score line did not reflect the balance of play.
Keep up the good work girls!
Woman of the match was Sanjana who totally listened at training and played an outstanding game. Well done Sanjana, keep to that front stick, otherwise it is still two laps of pitch and 20 press ups.
