Ben Smith was a healthy young man but died whilst competing in a running event a year ago. Despite appearing to be fit and healthy Ben had an undiagnosed heart condition. His father Gary and his family are determined to help others so that nobody else need suffer their loss. To this effect a charity 'Cry For Ben' was created with the aim of providing free heart tests for young people 14-35 age range. Gary has kindly offered Brooklands hockey and lacrosse priority access to screening taking place at Conway Road Medical Practice, 88 Conway Road Sale, M33 2TB 19th and 20th January 2019.
