A great win for Ladies 4. Considering we are away at Horwich, second in the league, and we started with just 9 on the pitch, the result most certainly exceeded expectations.

Average age of about 15, energy and enthusiasm were in abundance. The opposition looked strong and in their prime 20s, our target of the day was enjoyment. We took an early lead after just 10 minutes, a great goal from Victoria. Short corner soon after and what looked like a pin ball machine, a flick was awarded. Victoria stepped up calmly and 2 up it was.

Our 10th and 11th player came and so did half time. Surprise faces all round and happy ones too. Now to concentrate and hold our lead. Another goal from Julia, this one from being persistent in the D.

Fourth was well deserved from Ella M, a well worked short corner routine.

This young team worked so hard and it was a perfect display of team play. Ella M dribbling was confusing the opponents and just didn't know how to handle her. Every player deserved player of the match.

The ladies did not stop pushing and with 5 minutes to go, Victoria got her hat trick and 5-0 was a great win!
