Fabulous Fours Wreck Wrexham

The undefeated 4th team welcomed Wrexham for another 'home' game at the Armitage.

It didn't take long for the home side to take the lead, with goal shy Harry Cooper taking a chance he often wastes; an open goal from two yards.

In a blistering opening spell, further goals followed for Hutchins and Mills. 3-0 at half time.

As is a trademark of the 4th team, we then took our foot off the gas, allowing an enthusiastic Wrexham side back into the contest. After a spell of Wrexham pressure, Brooklands sprang a counter attack ending in a deft defection into the bottom corner from now goal machine Cooper. Unfortunately for Cooper, 'home' umpire Oliver Parry was too busy setting up his latest What's App group, and ruled no goal!

Coach Nenah left in disgust, or was it because McDonald's Fallowfield were reintroducing super sized meals? Either way the distractions took their toll on the 4s who were indebted to sweeper-keeper Tim Clements for a string of fine saves. 3-1 the final score.
