With the usual correspondent taking a sabbatical with the 4th team, the 5’s match report came from his highly ‘intellectual’ son, who reported that the team won and he played great! Here’s hoping that his school essays have more subject content to them.

The team squad was boosted by the ‘experienced’ Jez Bodey making himself available, and from all accounts himself and Jonny D spent the next 70 minutes controlling the game from midfield, thus giving the rather ‘mature’ defence of Alan S, Guy M and Ollie P a somewhat more relaxed time than the previous week.
With Faysal F showing some good touches at the back, and Cam L completing the midfield trio, the game went as smoothly as it could. The three young forwards of Dan J, Freddie D and Freddie T worked tirelessly to close the Didsbury defence down and linked up with the midfield to provide a threat up front.

Unfortunately, the match report ‘source’ could only provide the goal scorers as himself and Jez x2.

A good first win of the season, and something to build on for next weeks game against the same opposition’s 6th team, (who as club selection goes beat their 5’s team the previous week)
