Although dominating the first half we unfortunately conceded a goal relatively early on. Slightly de-motivated coming off at half time, we had a rallying team talk and walk on determined to play our hockey for the remainder of the game. Brooklands got their first goal back from a hit in from Penny Townsend and a great finish by Kirsty Carlyle, who continued her goal streak after scorring in the final match of last season. The second came from another brilliant set up between Sarah Brown and Beth Rector, with the latter securing the goal. Overall, a good game to start the season on a high and get points on the board, with the hope this will put us in good stead for a promotion.
Our MOM was Sarah for appearing everywhere when needed. And DOD was Zoë for turning up 45 minutes late.
