The Ladies 2s travelled down to Chester with a positive outlook on the back of a strong performance last week, and ready for a battle between two teams in the lower half of the table. It was a cagey first half for both teams with a lot of turnover in the middle of the pitch and Chester struggling to find a way through Brooklands press. It was all square at half time despite a great effort on goal by Grace Terry. The second half began in a similar form with lots of play and turnover in the middle of the pitch. Unfortunately, due to some lapses in concentration in Brooklands’ press, Chester got two quick goals on the break. The ladies tried their best to get some goals back with some strong attacking play from Penny Townsend and Georgia Marsden, but with no luck and the game ended 2-0 to Chester.

Brooklands look to turn around some disappointing results, with a match this weekend against top of the table Kirkby Stephen PB at 13:30. Please come down and support if you can!
