A masacre at Noonish!!!

Nothing much to say other than Thank god for Theresa and her awesome saves, What a girl she is, otherwise it would have been worse state of affairs!!

I think our weekend off stopped the flow of some great performances coming together, and with some key players missing it was always going to be a toughie, but all stayed very positive, and Captain Pamela, with the limited players she had set out a postive team.

We went for the attack with only 10 players, as we had nothing to lose and unfortunatly it didnt pay off!! Going down 4nil in first half. The pitch, albiet played very slow, didnt help us, as our passing was slowed down with the copus amount of sand on the pitch.

Early into second half we again came out very positively. There was some great passing happening and Tash, Amy and Michelle played excellent in the play making roles within midfield winning lots of balls from the opposition and driving the ball forward; with Tash winning our first penalty cornor by playing the ball off the defenders foot. Holly Dixon's push out was excellent, sending it to top D for her mother PD to pick up, and striking it with full force it went straight at the goalkeeper and into the defenders and with Holly distracting them at the helm it went straight in!! Mother is claiming the goal, much to daughters claim that she nudged it in!!! We thought this would be our recovery, however Daughter Dixon was injured not long after this with a possible broken thumb- not great when she has major dancing comps coming up, but she fought through the pain and tears to play on, even though mother Dixon offered for her to go off, luckily it is not broken to much relief. Then injury to Mother Dixon happened with appox 20 mins to go, with Left hand gushing of blood and knuckle swellen to the size of a golf ball, left the defence in total tatters, With only three in defence and two injured like daughter, she played bravely on, trying to defend with one hand.

Shame Master Tom Dixon, whom was watching at the sidelines wasn't allowed to make up our numbers, I'm sure he would have helped our cause, lol.

All put a brave face on our worst result of the season, against a team we know we can win against, and statisically are better than. Hopefully we will have some more of our regular team available in forthcoming games.
